Our Story

Carbone's Pizza was started in 1978 by my grandparents Dominic and Carrie Carbone, in Buffalo New York. The journey began with my great grandparents who were born in San Vito, Italy and migrated by boat to Ellis Island, New York in 1932. Growing up, my grandpa had jobs in different industries but one day he had enough of it. He began saving up, and over time he was able to buy a building on South Park Avenue in 1976. Grandpa slowly remodeled the building for two years on the weekends, while also keeping his full-time job. He also continued working at a friend’s pizzeria so that he could learn more about the food industry. Grandpa couldn't get a loan from the bank, so he ventured out and borrowed money from twenty of his closest friends. After purchasing equipment, and many hours of hard work, the doors of Carbone's Pizza & Subs at 568 South Park Avenue opened for business in 1978.

Each and every day Carbone's will be mixing grandpa's original secret pizza sauce recipes. Our dough is made from scratch and hand stretched daily, we cut pepperoni , 100% mozzarella cheese and other fresh ingredients daily. At Carbone's we focus on quality, consistency, and customer service to ensure we deliver Buffalo the delicious food they deserve. Thank you to all of our amazing customers and hardworking employees who have supported us during this journey, without you all we would never be in business today!
